FORMULASI SEDIAAN MASKER GEL PEEL OFF DARI EKSTRAK ETANOL KULIT BUAH PISANG KEPOK

Masker gel peel off merupakan sediaan kosmetik perawatan kulit yang berbentuk gel
dan setelah diaplikasikan kekulit dalam waktu tertentu hingga mengering, sediaan ini
akan membentuk lapisan film transparan yang elastis, sehingga dapat dikelupas.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasikan kulit buah pisang kepok (Musa
balbisiana Colla) dalam bentuk sediaan masker gel peel off danmenentukan formulasi
terbaik sediaan masker wajah ekstrak kulit buah pisang kepok (Musa balbisiana
Colla) dalam bentuk gel peel off. Kulit buah pisang kepok diekstraksi dengan cara
maserasi menggunakan etanol 70%. Konsentrasi ekstrak etanol kulit buah pisang
kepok yang digunakan adalah 1%, 3% dan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa
formulasi sediaan masker gel peel off pada F0, F1 (1%), F2 (3%) dan F3(5%) selama
28 hari penyimpanan tidak mengalami perubahan secara signifikan. Perbedaan
konsentrasi ekstrak etanol kulit buah pisang kepok mempengaruhi pH, daya sebar,
waktu mengering dan viskositas pada sediaan masker gel peel off. Pada uji hedonik
panelis lebih menyukai F2 (3%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa
ekstrak etanol kulit buah pisang kepok (Musa balbisiana Colla) dengan konsentrasi
1%, 3%, dan 5% dapat diformulasikan menjadi sediaan masker gel peel off dan
ekstrak etanol kulit buah pisang kepok (Musa balbisiana Colla) pada formulasi F2
dengan konsentrasi 3% menghasilkan formulasi terbaik.

Peel off gel mask is a skin care cosmetic preparation in the form of a gel and after
being applied to the skin for a certain time until it dries, this preparation will form an
elastic transparent film layer, so that it can be peeled off. This study aims to formulate
the kepok banana peel (Musa balbisiana Colla) in the form of a peel off gel mask
preparation and determine the best formulation for the kepok banana peel off extract
(Musa balbisiana Colla) in the form of a peel off gel. Kepok banana peel was
extracted by maceration using 70% ethanol. The concentration of the ethanol extract
of the kepok banana peel used was 1%, 3% and 5%. The results showed that the
formulation of the peel off gel mask preparation at F0, F1 (1%), F2 (3%) and F3 (5%)
during 28 days of storage did not change significantly. The difference in the
concentration of the ethanolic extract of the kepok banana peel affects the pH,
dispersion, drying time and viscosity of the peel off gel mask preparation. In the
hedonic test, the panelists preferred F2 (3%). Based on the results of the study, it was
concluded that the ethanol extract of the kepok banana peel (Musa balbisiana Colla)
with concentrations of 1%, 3%, and 5% could be formulated into a peel off gel mask
preparation and the ethanol extract of the kepok banana peel (Musa balbisiana Colla)
in the formulation. F2 with a concentration of 3% produces the best formulation.
